When writer Leslie Braverman suddenly dies from a heart attack, his four best friends decide to attend his
funeral. The quartet consists of Morroe (George Segal), Barnet (Jack Warden), Holly (Sorrel Booke), and
Felix (Frederick Wiseman). They travel to the funeral in a Volkswagen Beetle, but get lost in Brooklyn
where they collide with a taxi driven by a black Jew  (Godfrey Cambridge). They finally arrive at the
funeral presided over by a long-winded rabbi (Alan King). The movie, directed by Sidney Lumet, was made
in 1968.
