Kirk Douglas (1916-2020) plays German Jewish refugee Hans Mueller, a Holocaust survivor who is so traumatized by his experiences that he escapes a refugee camp in Israel after the war.  He attacks a policeman who asks for his identification papers and then flees into the countryside where he is helped by a teenage orphan and a woman name Ya’El (Milly Vitale) who live on a kibbutz.

The Juggler was directed by Edward Dymtryk, and filmed in 1953. The movie will be introduced by Laurie
Baron who will facilitate a discussion after it has been screened.
