Updates on Israel with Yisrael Klitsner

Friday, June 6, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for Shabbat services at 6pm followed by dinner and a discussion with Yisrael Klitsner.

Yisrael Klitsner is presently engaged in the pursuit of a master’s degree in public policy at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Simultaneously, he serves as a consultant to multiple organizations, showcasing his commitment to blending academic insights with practical application in the field of Israel Advocacy. When confronted with the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th, Yisrael immediately pivoted from his academic and consulting commitments to join his reserve unit in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), deploying to Gaza. Before delving into academic pursuits in Pittsburgh, Yisrael held the pivotal role of Diaspora Affairs Advisor to the then Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett. In this influential position, Yisrael actively engaged in diplomatic missions, crafted policy recommendations, authored impactful speeches, and played a central role in formulating the Prime Minister’s diaspora affairs strategy. Raised in Jerusalem, Yisrael’s commitment to service is deeply rooted, as evidenced by his service in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) from 2006 to 2009, where he served in Duvdevan, an elite anti-terror special forces unit. Yisrael is married to Laurie Wasser and together they are raising four children. Yisrael’s rich tapestry of experiences reflects a profound dedication to public service, diplomacy, and global affairs.
