WOMEN OF REFORM JUDAISM (WRJ)

We are a group of women who have found friendship and sisterhood among other Reform Jewish Women across the generations. We foster the highest ideals of Reform Judaism through social and educational programs serving our Temple and community.

Member dues help support our programs and projects but your involvement and participation are vital to the success of everything we hope to accomplish. We are “Sisters by Choice!”

You are all invited to the Planning Meeting on Thursday, July 16, and we will even serve you lunch! Do you have something you are passionate about? Can we help you plan an event? Now is the time to share your ideas with us. Contact us at wrjteesd@gmail.com.

Mah Jongg continues on Monday afternoons at 1:30pm. Did you know that men also play Mah Jongg with us?
Daytime Bunco is being planned for August. This is a fun game relying on the roll of the dice; you do not need to be experienced. Prizes will be awarded and lunch will be included.

A new Rosh Chodesh group, organized by Renee Zoffel, began in June. According to Midrash, women were given this holiday because they refused to give up their gold to make the golden calf. As a reward, women were given a day off with no cooking or cleaning to be done by the women on this holiday.

The annual Artisan Festival will be held on Sunday, November 1. The Committee, chaired by Beth Mann and Joanne Einhorn, just had its first meeting. It is not too late to join – we will welcome your help. We invite all women to become members of WRJ and join us for our programs and activities. Our programs are open to all!
